    Now that's just sad. I wonder, what differs taking a normal swim, and taking a swim for the boat, it's not's like it's the OL we are talking about.That pond look small. He must have been hit by the prop maybe, if it suddenly spun, ore stressed in the water, bad swimmer etc.
    I admit, I have been in the water a few times my self, but then again I'm a viking........And I always have a rescue boat with me. but if it's summer, june -july, I might go in if it's a hot and nice day.

      Deaths due to swimming for a toy boat happen every year. There is no excuse to swim for one - period. BTW, almost every person who drowns thinks they are a great swimmer, until......

        Terrible shame!! Ive been swimming in the river where I was running my boat for years, have also represented my state here in Aus for swimming several times so personally Im confident as hell and careful. it is only a toy boat at the end of the day. Im going to get a recovery system back up and running, my last creation died recently think I will go tennis ball on fishing line this time, that will cast 70mtrs easy enough which is the width of the river where i run so no dramas there.
