Zippy's for sure, i have seen numerous posts/threads about quality issues with the Nano's. I would personally never buy them, plus all i have ever seen it seems are the 25-50c rated packs, i want 40c minimum.

All my Nano tech packs have puffed or lost a cell or just lost their punch. The Zippy packs are still powering along. All 5000mah 40c or 45c. All used in the same boats under the same conditions. But the Haiyin packs out class both of them for around the same price. http://www.haiyinstore.com/products_mwh.asp?p_id=207

so many with nano probs.! Hmm I have quite the opposite. I bought some 4s 45c FM for my geico last year.

              http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=16489

and they were not what I was hoping for , they felt less punchy , and I had problems getting one to balance right on my icharger. sorry to say. But I'll stick to my nano's .

this year we( me and a friend) have bought 12 nano's for the mystic/geico and knock on wood, they are all good. 45-90c and the 65-130c works well in the boat's

I'm afraid I have to add some bad news here.
Last weekend I had a cell puff badly on a Zippy 5800 30c 6s pack. It was all balance charged & all resistances were pretty equal prior to the run. It was an old pack but it wasn't being stressed. The boat just seemed to loose speed very early in the run so I brought it in. The other 5 cells still had 65% left but the puffed cell was at 14%. So I guess it just gave up the ghost. I'll cut it down to a 4s pack.

Just thought I'd let you know.

I cant decide which of these to buy, am I better off with more C rating and less mAh?
                  https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...arehouse_.html
                  or vise-verse?
                  https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...dproduct=23551

Its for a genesis, stock electrics atm. I have 2s2p 4000mAh 40-50c turnigy and they run at about 52-60deg-C so Im going bigger.
Id appreciate any advise, thanks in advance,
                  Tristan.

I would say neither. Hardcase in a boat is not the best( so I've seen on several forum's) and those Zippy did not work for me, hard to balance after a few run's with the boat. (leo 2000 m445 T180) Charger is a icharger 3010b

I would say this one :

thanks for the quick response and advise. I am limited by choice as I have to use the Aus warehouse if i want to see them before Christmas, which I do.
                      So its either
                      https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...arehouse_.html
                      or
                      https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...arehouse_.html
                      unfortunately.
From what I can gather the higher c rating is preferred over high mAh, would this be correct and why if someone doesent mind explaining.
                      Thanks in advance. Tristan.

You buy cheap you buy often. Those of you that had problems with your packs. Did anybody take care of you? There's threads were the Haiyins didn't last either. If you want a good pack then you need to buy a good pack.

May I ask why you are limited to that WH. I live in Norway, and I chose the HK based W house. If I choose to use the DE one, the shipment cost are higher (with air post) than if I choose the HK WH with EMS shipment. And yes, they are slow, to pack and ship the goods out. But once it's one it's way i can track it , and it's usually 3-4 day's before I have it.

Anyway I prefer,in my boat that is and in general , to have several 4400 with high C than to have a few 5000 ore higher packs with , say 25-50c . But that's just me. I bought 2x zippy 4s last sommer, but I prefer to have the 2s settup in my geico. So I have 4x 4400 65-130c and 4x 5000 65-130c as it is now.

I see I see. Thanks for your input.
Im only limited to the Aus warehouse by choice and budget at this time of year. and lack of patience. Thanks heaps for your input, I'll have to have a think about which direction to go, at the end of the day I realize its not a lot of money but I have little to spend so have to try and make it last. Fine balance of performance VS fun VS budget = nightmares LOL. I will let you know how i go.
On a side note swam for the boat twice today, after 2 simply awesome blow overs. Good times.

If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
