    Battery to ESC extension

Is it ok or bad practice to add 3" of wire to the ESC or batteries? The wires coming off the ESC are only 2 1/4" long. And the way my boat is set up, the wires do not reach. I need 2" - 3". Thanks guys.

    What boat ?
And have any pictures of the setup ?
If you add wire your cap temps may go up,
You may need to add more caps to the esc if you add more wire.

My SF 240 HV has 4 1/2" wires on it,
The one I just got from the swop shop.
Not sure if it came stock that way with the 4 1/2" wires and 5.5 on it.

Bought mine on swap shop too. Can't show you the set up. I'm working on it. Basically ESC will sit on motor mount. Battery wires on ESC facing the transom. Batteries all the way up front in the hull. I've got 5 extra caps added on the ESC. I was just going to make 2 3" jumpers with bullets on each end. Thanks for your help.

What if you flip flop the esc,
And have the motor wires from the esc facing the tramsom and the cell wires to the bow ?
