Hi I am waiting for the blackjack 29 to become ready on the market(soon I hope)and my question is what battery to choose, this is my first boat so do I want to go 6s or4s?. I'm looking for halfway, good run time but also don,t want to be wishing that I'm missing out on power! So if any one h any ideas that would be really helpful Thanks.

you could buy 2 2s packs and 2 3s packs
        you could run 4s, 5s, and 6s
        4s to get it setup
5s for more get up and go
and 6s for the top speed fun runs

If it is your first boat I would stick to 4s1p as stated by Drifta.

Get some good props. The better the prop, the more efficient your setup. Of course they need proper balancing & sharpening.

If you dive into buying mass amounts of batteries and boating isn't your thing, you haven't invested much.

I would say 6000Mah to 6600Mah total is good. Highest C rating you can afford.

                  Maxamp batterys are trash!!

                  Try http://performancerclipos.com/page8.php

There are as good and maybe slightly better than my hyperions in my testing, see the Dinogy battery post.
Did I mention they are 1/3 cheaper?
