    Question about lipos in paralell

So I just want to make sure before i buy a couple 5s packs. If i put 2 5s 2200 in paralell i will have 4400mah of ru time right or do you think that is a little low. I normaly run 2 2s packs in series and they are both 4200. So really i am running the same mahs right or would it be better to have a couple of 5s 3000 or 4000

2200 x 2 is 4400 mah correct. That being said i would go 4000 packs if you can fit them for sure.

Might as well get the high mah batts for longer run times. You'll also notice lower temps running 2p
      white geico w/2200kv 3674 leopard 53.5mph 4s2p, geico w/ 1800kv outrunner 52mph on 4s2p, genesis w/2200kv castle 53.8 on 4s2p, impulse 31 w/2200kv castle, stock p1 and ul-1

2 2S 4200 in series = 4s 4200 mah 2 5s 2200's in parallel =5s 4400 keeping everything the same in your boat will make your boat go faster but will yield less runtime, if you prop down with the 5S setup to the same speeds as the 4s setup you will get better runtimes and should get lower temps overall because the higher voltage is a more efficient setup, but be careful just changing prop will not get the right result, you're batteries will be heavier and the smaller prop will have less blade in the water, thus your boat will run wetter and have more drag, you will need to change a lot on the boat to get the result you want, such as CG strut height and/or angle and trim tabs (if it's a mono). I would recommend getting some 2S 5000's run them in series and keep your setup the same if your happy with the way the boat runs. this will give you some more run time and the small weight gain from the 5000's won't really be noticeable, and if you get good high C rate batteries you will be faster too. The good thing about that is then you can prop down a little keep your same speed and get even more run time and temps will n=be lower too.
