Batteries with diferentt mAh and discharge rates in parallel?

    Hello,

I was wondering if I can use batteries with diferentt mAh and discharge rates but same voltage and number of cell in parallel on my boat. I want to increase the run time on my boat and I am planing on using one 4S 5000mAh 40C 14.8v battery and one 4S 5800mAh 50C 14.8v in parallel. Will this setup work without negatively affecting the stock 60A ESC?

    Thank you

This is NOT a good idea.

What Dana said. Don't do this, one battery will run out of charge quicker and become over discharged while the other one still has charge left. What application needs more than 5ah on <60A?

Btw, voltage designates number of cells. You can't have a 7.4 v pack that is 3cell for ex.
You may run parallel on 60amp without issue but they must be same cell count, mah, and discharge rating.
