Taking my new pursuit out tomorrow for her maiden voyage after 3 attempts at stopping the water coming in! I'm running a XK-4074 2000kv T180 but is the battery tray the best place to put 2 2s lipos or does anyone know a better position? Maybe either side of the motor? Also does anyone know if the stock prop from HK is any good? If not I will try the x642.

I run mine on the battery tray. (2) 4s lipo packs in parallel. And it works nicely.Steven Vaccaro

I run mine on the sides of the motor mount and run the esc & gps forward of the motor where the battery tray is.
I run a T180 & a Leopard 4074 2200kv. Runs amazing. As you can see different combo and placement still can work successfully.

Tryed it with the batteries on the tray and it was ok then either side of the motor and I think it ran better. This boat rocks. Just need a bit more speed out of it. I'd say it doing around 40mphComment

You want more prop with a 4074 motor, the stock prop on those is very lower in pitch around 1.2pitch ratio = only 2.03" pitch their also very small blade area to work on the stock 36mm can FSD motors. The x642 for example is 2.64" pitch.Comment

I run a M445 prop on mine - 4074 2200kV, T180 and 5000mah batteries along side the motor - she runs close to 48mph.

I'm not. Unfortunately it won fit because the screws on the end of the motor aren't counter sunk. It's done up tight though so its not going anywhere.Last edited by jamespl; 06-17-2012, 10:19 AM.Comment
