do i need to upgrade from 5.5mm for 12s??

    Hi,

All my other boats are 6s and i run the standard 5.5mm bullets on everything, rescue boat included however my latest build it going to be a 12s low kv mono and i really dont want to have to replace all my connectors, am i correct in thinking that the higher the voltage the lower the amp draw and therefore this wont be a problem unless i am pulling some serious amps?

    thanks

It should be ok with lower amp draw. I run 5.5's on my batts that power my two Castle 2028 boats, I then have parallel connectors that go from two 5.5's into one 8mm..................which then connects to the ESC, so all my batts are 5.5's.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

After getting tired of charging and hooking up LIPOs with various 5-8mm bullets, I settled on this: All LIPOS 2S-5S run large 8mm gold bullets. Motor/ESC leads are 6mm up to 40mm cans, 8mm 50 mm & up cans. Never a ESC/motor bullet meltdown again (I had several with 5-5.5mm), no problem with chargers or LIPOs. JIM
