Minimum capacity on a 8s boat?

What is the minumum capacity I should be looking at running in a 8s2p set up? Want at least 6 mins run time.
    Motor: Leopard 5692 1090kv
    Hull: DF41"

    Thanks

SuperMono class boats here run 6minutes+ on 8s1p <1120g roughly 5-6,000mAh, smaller motors than that though so you will need more mAh for the same speed and time. it has the capability for more speed for less time on those cells or more speed for the same time if you put enough cells in, I dont have an 8s2p boat or a s SuperMono myself but based on my 8s1p 5minute+ SuperCat class boat with a 475g Neu 1521 that runs only warm, I would want twice the energy from the cells (10-11,000mAh) to leverage the 880g of the 5692.

Ok thanks for the info. Where can I get 6000mah batteries with a good C rating?

Was looking to run 8s2p with 4x 4s batteries. 40c and over.

I'm wondering this same thing. I am going to gets Fightercat Fantasm, built by Keith Bradley. I'm looking at the gen aces 4s 5300mha 65c. But I'm also wondering what the OP was asking. Can you run 4-4s batteries, where where you can run 8s2p? Or would it weigh to much? The hull I'm getting is a 41"cat

The Neu lipos are verygood, some say just as good as Hyperion. Prices are better also. Call before ordering, because website is not up to date. http://www.neumotors.com/Site/Battery_Specs.html

Pass, I use Turnigy 30c 5800mAh myself, ETTI make 6500mAh cells that are under 1120g but are only 22c, any high C rate 6000mAh cells would be well overweight for naviga style racing, if you want high C rates about 5000mAh is the most capacity you can fit into the weight limit, so I have not looked into it, I expect there are some available if you search around though.

Yes I agree with this because when you using c rating batteries then you can also use of QNT 30 c 5800mAh or high C rate 6000mAh cell. This will be preferable for your system.

You can get Turnigy Nano Tech 65c - 130c 5000mah 8s & put 2 in paralel for 10,000mah capacity, if you can get away with less capacity theirs also a 65c - 130c 4400 8s x 2 in paralel for 8800mah capacity. Obviously you need an 8s charger.
