Hyperion or Thunder Power, whats better

Looking at getting some good quality 6s lipos to use on Leopard 4092 motor, what are considered the better choice between the Hyperion 6s 45c & Thunder Power 65c. Not racing. Thanks Martin.

If you're not racing check out Hyein? batteries. Way cheap, I love 'em. If they last a season or 2 cool. 28.50$ for a 2s 5000mah 40C.

They are both great batteries. I am using the hyperion's to race and most people in our club are using them when they are using the high end batteries (sometimes you see turnigy's, ace and others). There are always other options to try if you are trying to save money. Having used all the "sport" brands and finally breaking down and spending the money on the Hyperions I now understand there is a difference by a noticable margin.

From talking to Jay (Fluid) on here. Thunder Power and Hyperion are just as good as each other but Thunder Power offers a pack replacement deal that is worth the extra money.

Does the pack replacment deal apply to whatever has happened to the packs or are their certain exclusions, i would try Gens ace lipos but their not that available in the UK. Only Giant Cod has them as far as i came find & they have next to no stock.

I believe the Grimracer packs are relabeled Hyperion's. You can get good deals on them if you are a Tower club member.

All I know is I have turned in absolutely dead packs and got credit for them. I doubt that they are as liberal as Castle, I have returned just a few charred pieces to Castle and got full credit. It looked far worse than this one:

Which ever one fits your hull best. I like the Hyperion 4s 4200mah packs. These fit every boat I own.

True, but it is pretty limited:

"If you have damaged your Lipo pack for any reason which is NOT covered by free warranty replacement (i.e due to crash, water damage, etc), and within the first year after original purchase, your nearest Hyperion Regional Distributor can exchange your pack for a brand new one of the same type (or lesser value pack), at 40% discount from original Hyperion suggested retail price for the replacement pack, plus return shipping.
                    • The Pack must be fully discharged before shipping to the Distributor.
                    • The Return pack must have the original dated receipt (or email confirmation of sale date from original dealer)..."

ThunderPower does not care how long you've owned the pack and you don't need a receipt. How many folks have their original receipt 12 months after they purchased their pack? My packs last longer than 12 months before they lose power and capacity, thus needing replacement. Plus at TP you can apply the credit to a higher-quality pack.

I use both brands and like them both. The more liberal return policy of TP means for most users that the two brands are similar in cost after the first purchase, that's all.

Fluid are both packs that close to one & other on performance even though the TP is 65c claimed against the 45c claimed hyperions. Would you pick one over the other.
