I am running 2 X 2S Hyperion 5000mAp batteries with 5.5mm Bullet connectors with a Seaking 180 and stock Mystic Cat 1800kv motor.
Every time I hook up the batteries I get a spark on the final connection.
Conenct Battery "A" + term to ESC + lead, Connect Battery "B" - to ESC -, then when I connect battery "A" - to Battery "B" + I get a spark.
I purchased a kinetic Spark arrestor and still I get a spark. With the arrestor, after connecting Batts to ESC I have the small gage wire on the arrestor connected and then I connect Battery "A" - to one side of the Arrestor bullet connectors and batt "B" + to the other side of arrestor bullet and then I connect the arrestor bullets together and I get a spark.
These are my first Lipo's and brushless setup, I must be doing something wrong, getting a spark everytime I connect the Batts can't be normal.
Can anyone help me out or enlighten me? I figure I must be doing something wrong in the connections? But I get a spark on the final connection every time no matter what order I connect.
Thanks
