    Lipo Capacity

For those of you who run larger hulls 36" and up, what capacity lipos do you tend to use on your 5S, 6S, 8S, 10S, 12S and etc setups? Is 5000mAh the norm or do some use say 4000mAh? Is the difference in run time significant to justify paying $15-20 more for an identical but larger capacity nano-tech pack? Or is the added weight counter productive?

I am using 4400mah packs running 4s and 5s on my 42" boat. That is all I have run through it so far so I can't say how much more run time I would get out of it with 5000mah.

I run these because I get them cheap. $39 for Sky Lipo 5s 4400mah 40c pack with free shipping on orders over $50, and I ordered several packs. Great Price in My opinion. The same exact battery in 5000mah is $63 which is not at all worth it to me

Now the 2s and 3s Packs are only $4-5 more between the 4400 and 5000mah, and the 4s are cheaper (on sale) for the 5000mah, but I like to have all the same mAh batteries just so I can run them in series if I want to and I already had the 4400mah packs so I just stick with them.

If you look into that brand and plan to run 2s 3s or 4s packs in series and don't have any of the batteries yet then I would just go with the 5000mah being the price difference is so minimal

I half to say I always had a thing for cheap lipos in thinking that they were junk from one bad experience with 4 nanos that all went bad but I recently tried 4s 5000 mah sky lipos in a 2p configuration for 8s and all I have with them is really good results they discharge and balance back up perfect every time when running and charging I use them in pretty high amp setups as well I would not hesitate to buy these again

4s using 2x2s 6000mah On a 37" genesis running a 4070 2000kv motor, 180a esc and an x645 prop I get approx 5mins run time before it hits the LVC. I guess it's all depending on your setup and how you drive.

So if I'm reading this right, you're using a 4S1P setup and getting 5 mins run time with 6000mAh? If you doubled up and went 4S2P you might get upwards of 10 mins run time?
