    Poly Rc 4s cells 5000mah lazzy ?

    Hi,
I just bought two used poly rc 4s 5000mah cells from a Ose member,
He said they would not be good for racing, But would be good for sport running.
Also he said they have bin in storage 8 months.
    I charged them and #1 cell read 420,419,419,419, 16.79 volts and # 2 cell read 420,420,420,419, 16.79.
Tried to run them in stock P1 kos 35" stared out slow and lv kicked and it set at 3.20,
So I reset it to 3.00 and same thing happened.

Could the cells just be lazy and need to be cycled a few more times,Or are they done ?

I charged them again, And all the cells read the same as before.
But this time I ran 4s1p and the boat ran slow gps at 25 mph,
And if do not baby the throttle lv kicks in.
The other 4s cell is a little better, I gps 28 mph.

    Thanks for any input.

Stock p1 60 amp, I think it the 60 amp seaking because the program card work on it.
I tried setting the lv to 3.0 but it still kicked in if I do not baby the throttle.
All my other cell work in boat, My 3s I get 29 mph and 4s I get 39 mph.

Did yours run the boat like a 2s 3s pack or a 4s pack ?
I just thought that they should run the boat.

Lenney, isn't it still cold in NJ?
If the battery temp wasn't above 85 degrees when you put them in the boat they won't put out full voltage.

I believe they're just about used up. Left is 4s2p Polyquest 5050 35C and right are the Poly RC's.

It was around 65 or so. Shouldn't have that much effect on them, the others ran fine.

I bought the other 6 batts guys. I'll do a charge & load test in the next few days, and I'll let you know how mine do. Remember, Randy said that they were sitting for quite a while. Cycle them a few times and see what you end up with. I'll drop you both a line with the results from mine, sometime this upcoming weekend.

                            Hi,
                            Lucky you,
The two packs I got from him were marked with tape and one read 15.95 w 76%,
And the other read 16.21 w84%.
What does the tape read on the packs you guys have ?
It took me 10 hours to balance one of the pack 1c,
The other one about 2 1/2 hours.

Let me know how you guys make out.

                              Ok guys,

I picked 2 of the 6 packs at random, charged them on my Hyperion Duo, and ran the crap out of them. They wouldn't hold up as race packs, but they'll work fine under low to medium amp draw. All in all, they'll work fine for what I bought them for. Good luck with your packs guys.
