    parallel connections?

I went to the interactive page on OSE for a permanent parallel connection, and noticed that each lipo is connected in parallel then in series, hard to explain but you can see on the page.
but when I see people wire packs in series, they only hook up the main leads in parallel, which do I do?
and on the balance leads, do I just hook them in parallel? (main pos. to main pos., neg.1 to neg.1 etc)

what you detail 'I saw' shows you dont know what you're looking at. !

doing a 4S 2p - here are my two conflicting pages:
      http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/lipo.php - it is a 4(1S2P)S
      http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...let-connectors - it is a 4S2P
      which do I do?

Read the entire OSE lipo page, both are right for what they are telling you.

alright, so I can just hook the main leads and balance leads together?

To run 4S2P you only need to parallel the main connectors. The balance taps don't matter unless you are also charging them in parallel (usually done with an adapter).

it will be a permanent 4S2P pack, so i will solder the balance taps together.

Why ... you can still charge them using an adapter. And if you decide to split them up it's no problem.

The OSE page shows how 8 single cells interconnect to form 4s(eries). packs, wired in parallel ...
Most people use assembled 4S packs and then co--join the output leads, as per domwilson's diagram .,
Egneg's idea to keep packs divisible is experience talking ...

The pyro parallel bullet connector link (above) offers plugs to allow this.

Your knowledge of pack assembly is clearly not clear ... accompanied by low comprehension of circuit diags..
I DO NOT recommend you try solder balance leads together. ( at least not whilst inside your supportive parent's house ! )

I got it all soldered up so it's fine now.
I need a 4S jst-xh to put on the balance leads, but the leads are ready to go with just one output.
I understand it all now, don't worry bout me.

                          ...?
It still doesn't make sense to me what you guys think I'm doing wrong, sure it's better to have them removable but I will never need to take them apart.
nobody ever answered my question so I'm leaving this thread alone, it works now.

Nothing wrong, just over complicating a basic procedure.

                            If it works, be happy.
