    New Batteries

There are some new batteries just coming out. They have impressive specs and are attractively priced. They are shipped in the U.S. from a U.S. warehouse. I will be trying some soon.

There is an active forum on RC groups about the batteries. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...8#post19880728

Why do you think they will go up in price?

On 2nd thought I think they won't and will probably have to come down if they want to make some good sales. Same prices as Turnigy practically. The specs don't really impress me- 1.5C max charge on most. They aren't very heavy either for the pack sizes. Fancy packaging though. The do claim to have a few certificates too.
Best in the 4s range seems to be the 5000.4S.40 only one with a 3C charge rate but still only 582grams. Good wire gauge at 8AWG.
Was interested in the "HOW WE MAKE BATTERIES" vid but for some reason can't view it.

Let me know how they run please.

they are stocked and shipped from their warehouse in Las Vegas. 4S packs come with 5.5mm bullets. The 4S 5000 40C packs have awg8 wire (which I hate. tooo damned big. Hard to work with) which shows they are devoted to making their packs deliver the juice!

So far it looks like comparing them to turnigy, zippy, etc. is not apples to apples. I'd compare them more closely to Hyperions.

I did read the discussion on RC Groups about these. When compared to Hyperions the representative had nothing to say. I would love them to be as good as Hyperions for that price. The thing with Haiyin packs is that the quality control is of a higher level so no more bad solder jobs like Turnigys. Have you got Hyperion packs because you can compare then?

I have asked a question on RC groups to see if they have tested against any competitors?

I recently had to quit running FE because of my health so can't compare in a boat. I ordered a 4S 5000 40C to try in my airplanes. I can compare there with my hyperions. I'll let you know what I think. Airplanes don't put the load on batts like boats do so might not be a good comparison.
