How much charge should it take?

I have a genesis and my setup is a turnigy xk-4074 2000kv with a seaking 180a esc running 4cells and an x642 prop. My 5800mah batteries give me approx 5mins run time hitting the LVC set to 3v. Now when I recharge the batteries they take around 4800mah to fill. Is that about right or is the LVC not reading correct? I know you should not run to the LVC but I thought I would get a little more run time.

    Jamespl,

Sounds just a bit conservative, but about right. Put a voltmeter on it after you are done with the run and the LVC kicks in if you really want the exact figure. Or what does your charger read the voltage at when you turn it on? Use the average of your batteries. Better than it overestimating the voltage and you actually draining down to low 2s....

Sounds right to me................when you have 1000mah or less left there's not much gusto left in the batts and it will hit LVC..........you can go to 2.8 cutoff if you want to drain them 100%, but its not worth it and your batts will not last as long.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

i would try a different prop. like m445 or something. i know im off subject here, but you might get a little more run time if you try

I have got a new prop. I've put the x645 on so will try that when it warms up. Thanks for the replies. My charger it's the turnigy accucel 6. It does show the battery voltage when you start charging. I will check the batts with my multimeter tho just to make sure.
