I've got a 72" Mystic C5000 boat in which I plan to run twin 5035 Scorpion motors in. In order to get the power I want, I think I'm probably going to have to run, say two 8 to 10 cell battery packs. Would it make more sense to hook two packs up parallel on each side and then power the motor on that side from that pack or hook two packs up in series and then power the motor on that side?
I know that in order to get a favorable amount of safety factor built in, I'm probably going to need to run 2 ESC's also. Are there any other safety features that I need to install? Electric or other?
