    Battery Pack Volts

Why do I only see people running like 11.1 or 18 volt battery packs? I seen them as high as 22 to 23 volts. It seems like the more the better. Also what would be the say normal discharge rate for a pack running a single Scorpion 5035 motor? I've seen them anywhere from 10Amp to 60 amps. I assume, and we all know what that means, that the discharge rate on the batteries should be at least as much as the motor pulls, if not higher.

    Thanks Guys,

    Will

You must consider the size and weight as well as the volts. The more volts the bigger and heavier the battery - not good in a small boat.
