Choosing a Deep cycle battery field charging

Looking for some input as to what i should look for in a marine deep-cycle battery.I assume the higher reserve amp will be better but that aslo makes for a bigger and heavier battery.I will be using a Hyperion duo 3 charger, charging mostly 4S 4000-5000 mah packs.Would I be better to smaller batteries at 24volt or use one bigger one. Also does anybody know how many packs can charged before the deep-cycles would nead to be charged back-up.
I was looking at a Honda generator but at $1000.00 dollars I could by alot of lipos and couple more chargers space is limited in the car already.

    Thanks Jack

That Honda 2000 for 1000 bucks is the Best thing going, quiet, runs all day, easy to carry, etc. Does your charger have a fan inside? That will eat up batteries faster than expected but for short days, I would assume a 31 series battery would give you a days worth of charges. My camper buddies have switched to 2 6 volt golf cart batteries in series which should do anything you need but will take a long time to recharge.

        Jack,

I bought one of the inexpensive 2-cycle generators from Harbor Freight Tools for around $100, and it's great! It's no Honda, but I used it several times this summer at the flying field charging LiPos and it works very well. I use a cheap power supply with it because the generator's output is pretty dirty, but so far, the power supply is taking it in stride (MeanWell S210-12).

This generator is cheaper than a good deep cycle marine battery.... http://www.harborfreight.com/800-rat...tor-66619.html
