    2S packs not discharging equally

running an airboat on 4S using two 2S packs, one had 1 or 2 cycles on it before pairing, the other was brand new.
both cycles done as a pair one pack (wasn't paying attention to which one) discharges more than the other. they are 1000mah packs, i put 750 into one and the other was below 6V, is it just one lipo still breaking in?

Hard to tell, what brand are they? What was the discharge rate? How do the individual cell and pack voltages compare after discharge? After charging?

they are Great hobbies 50C 1000mah packs, the guy told me they would do about 40-45C, but I am running a 20A ESC and it's getting slightly hot, so discharge shouldn't be a problem.
I didn't look at the voltage of the higher voltage one, but the lower one was at 5.82V, on the accucell6, which isn't always accurate.
the discharged pack got a little puffed after the charge, but not enough to worry.

Ths most obvious problem is packs which are not matched well. Low-end pack assemblers do not usually spend time (thus $$$) trying to match the cells in a pack. The result is sometimes two cells which have vastly different discharge characteristics. You can try cycling them several times, balancing them each time, and see how they go. One club member has this problem with some Turnigy packs, no matter how many times he balances them they go out of balance on one cycle. I don't have another answer for you other than to get another pack. Sorry...

I did buy them about 2 weeks apart, it could be that they got another shipment with slightly different specs.
is it dangerous to let them discharge off balance or will I just have to cope with it?
