I would like to charge my 2 2s packs at the same time, they are both the same, they are hard case with the ballance plug that comes off. My charger does up to 4s. How would you hook these up and how would thse balance if you wanted to charge both at the same time.

I use this method and you probably had the wrong balance wire to the wrong battery. On my "Y" adapter I labeled one balance plug "+" and the other "-".
-The battery with the red battery wire plugged into the red charge lead gets the balance wire plugged into the "+" balance plug.
-The battery with the black battery wire plugged into the black change lead gets the balance wire plugged into the "-" balance plug.
Now you just need to figure out which plug on the "y" adapter to label "+" and "-".
I used this link to help me figure it out. http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/lipo.html
My first attemped ended the exact same way as yours. Just be careful and remember if it's wrong your shorting out a lipo and I'm sure you know what the results could be.

I think it might be a charging adaptor?? Anyway, it did how that other site said, have checked there in the past and seems to work now.Comment

I have 2 different rigs made up but they both do the same thing. I use them all the time.

Make sure you hook the main + & - from cells to the charger first or your balance plug wires may burn.Comment

The way I hook it up is, connect the two main batteries first, then connect the balance adapter to the batteries (before connecting anything to the balancer), then, once everything else is hooked up, plug the balance adapter into the balancer.
If you do this out of order (like plugging pack #2 into the balancer al by itself) bad things will happen.
If you plug the batteries in opposite of the way you plug them into the balance adapter, sparks, melting and so forth will happen.
So basically it goes like this:
Charger connection
Pack #1 - the negative goes to the negative on the charger, the positive goes into the negative of pack #2
Pack #2 - (negative is already connected to pack one as above) the positive of this pack goes to the positive on the charger
Balancer connection
Pack #1 - the "most negative" wire connects to the "most negative" (the farthest over ground) wire on the balancer
Pack #2 - the "most negative" wire connects to the same spot as the positive balance wire from pack #1
I've taken the diagram from that website and edited it to show exactly how I always hook up my batteries, and in which order.

Or if you could have just bought the adapter I listed in my first reply in this thread:
...it's already got all these wires (balance wires and main leads), tied together to avoid accidental melting. Not to say I told you so but...Last edited by Stinger9D9; 10-21-2011, 11:30 PM.Comment

Jeff did you check out here http://rclipos.com/
If you don't see what you need maybe get in touvh with them and see if they have any ideas.
For mine I just got the ends with wires and spliced what I needed together.

It's far easier to get a parallel board IMO. Some boards do up to 6 battery packs at once. Just keep the Mah rating the same! =)FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.Comment
