    Gens Ace Lipo

I'm thinking about carrying some Gens Ace Lipo packs.

My first question is how have you guys been finding these packs perform and last?

Second does it make a difference if we carry hard packs or soft for boats? I was considering the hard case packs.

Been using 30c 5300mah 2s soft packs this summer, so far in the first year they are working just as well as more expensive comparable sized packs in spec powered rigs
They do come out of the boat cooler than the one set of Turnigys I have.
Will have to wait and see if the continue to perform next season, I have 20 or so cycles on them I'd guess now.
I'd rather buy them from you than hobbypartz! I tried them from hobbypartz because I don't want to order anything again from hobbyking!
I prefer soft packs so I can see if they are puffing or anything. Also a little lighter.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

For my MG I have the 5000 40C in 2 and 3S, they are great, get the hardcase no reason not to, I am sure that more customers that me also have RC trucks/cars and hardcase are the way to go for those. I have about 12 Gens of various sizes and they are the only batteries I will buy at this point, I have lots of RC's and have used many lipo brands and they are the best and last the longest of any I have used along with being a great value. I do not race only play so I am not concerned about the ultimate in performance, but can't say they aren't as good as any.

I would get the soft because I open them and saltwater proof them. They are great batteries

Steven will be running these in my 1/10 scale thunderboat by recommendation of a few different racers and have been told they are great packs and lots of guys running them in club racing.
qty 2 (2s 5300mah) soft packs is what I will be running.

I have been using them all summer. I use the the 5000mah 40c hard packs. I like the 40c and they r only avail in hard packs. Can beat em for 50.18 with free shipping from hobby partz. I have a brand new set that I used once and when charging the cells r a little off but I read that it can be normal until u break em in. I hit 63.7 with them and my turnigy batts with same specs hit 62.3mph. The smaller gauge wires don't seem to effect the performance. Diesel did a test awhile ago with some good info.
