      Eagle Tree elogger 150 amp

      I've been using mine for the past 3 years and I think its one of the best products to use to measure your setup. I wouldn't recommend a data logger with deans connectors or other manufactures rated less. We had a guy here using another brand rated to 130 amps with deans connectors to the board, it melted the solder off the board part way through his run. I let him try my eagle tree and he was spiking to 140 amps with no problems to the eagle tree.

            I have a few boats each with different setups, my DF29 is the biggest amp hog right now spiking at 139A running 4s, with a 8xl, 200amp High Model esc and a m445 prop with speeds close to 60mph. I'm not sure what my Phil Thomas Super Sport 45 will be running, I'm just waiting for a different motor coupler but should be ready in a couple weeks. Setup is 6s2p, Neu 1527 1.5D, 240 Castle Hydra Ice esc and a m447 prop for starters. The Hydra Ice series have a built in data logger.

                Yes, the Eagle Tree logger can handle up to 70 volts.

                    For me it's worth it and think others that use it will agree. I want to know the amps, rpm, temps and speed and its one of the best pieces of equipment to use when adjusting your boat to run its best. A very small adjustment on the strut or cg might not be noticeable when watching the boat run but a data recorder will show you where your at. I've seen many new people on this forum asking why did my esc blow or why did that happen Many times its human error and not knowing your setup or limitations. The data recorder takes alot of guess work out.

                        I have had my elogger read amp spikes of 180! Very impressed it didn't blow! The best tool I have to find the sweet spot.
                        24 R/C vehicles and still counting...What budget?

                          I use a EagleTree USB datalogger with a 2.4GHz wireless Dashboard for my DF Sniper on 12S2P.
                          Amps are my main concern. Using a 300amp current sensor measuring half of the supply to my Schulze 40.300 I found that I had a peak current of 560amps during hard acceleration.
                          I have checked the accuracy against real known current values and f0und that it had a 20amp offset below actual current.
                          290amps on the EagleTree was 310 real RMS amps.
                          As long as I know that it is no problem. Very happy with it.

                            I posted two of the many data sets we've got from our Eagle Tree loggers here. The new Castle ICE controllers also log some great information, but are missing the speed. Knowing the actual current with the spikes you get during a normal run will give you a much better appreciation of why ESCs die.

                              Quick related question... I assume the datalogger is wired to run between the ESC and batteries. For you guys that have twin battery setups that have two connectors coming from the ESC, how are you wiring it in? Do you only wire it through one battery (not likely), or are you creating some sort of custom harness?

                              Cheers;
