    Aquacraft UL1 Batteries

The first time I ran the UL1 using 2S 5000 mah 40c lipo batteries it submarined. I think the batteries are too heavy. Can anyone give me some suggestions.

They all submarine on take off. Let off throttle and when it pops back up nail it! It will plane

Hehehe, I have rum mine with 4S2P 3300s, your packs are not too heavy. Two techniques to try, one is to give it full throttle for a second, in many cases it will pop right up on plane, then back off. Or you can "rock" it onto plane by giving it part throttle and waiting until it just gets back on the surface, then hit it. With a little practice you'll get the hang of it. Many P-limited hydros do this, not just the RTRs. It is part of the fun and skill you develop to run these fast boats.
