    Hardcase vs normal lipo

What's the difference between the hardcase lipos and the normal ones? More importantly can I use them on a boat namely the proboat stiletto without any probs. I'm looking at 5000mah or higher 30c 2 cells x2. From what I can tell they ate the same just have the hardcase on for use in cars.

They are larger so they may be a tighter fit in the Stiletto. A bigger problem is that they will trap water. When you flip your Stiletto (and you will) it is common for the battery compartment to get pretty wet. That water will get into the hard case, and if not dried out the contacts on the cells may corode, damaging the pack. If you use the hard cases, open them to check for water and dry them out well every time they get wet.

I did wonder if they would fit. I have just ordered some turnigy 5000mah 40c 2cell batteries from hobbyking (soft case) it was the lower price that was catching my eye with the hard case. Don't say I will flip it

Oh I know that. I've got wet a few times, I'm just not partial to it! I just hope the stiletto isn't more prone to a flip than most.
