    Fixing Lipo battery...???

Here is my 2S that has the one cell lead broken.
    Would you fix it?
What would be the best to do in order to connect the lead?
    Thanks
    Robert

Still alive and out at the pond three times this past week. I think that make a total of 5 times so far this year ;-)

If it is just one cell, hold on to the others, remember to mark the specs somehow, had to toss a pack for that reason!
then just try to find a turnigy 5800mah 1S (same specs) and match em up, although they probably don't sell those.

you could save the one that has tabs still so if you happen to make this mistake again in the future you will have two 1s packs you could turn into a 2s. I lost a nano tech 5000 mah doing that same thing, pretty much impossible to solder to whats left of the tab though.

Didn't diesel find a problem with the nano's similar to this and he fixed it? Just wondering, I did the same thing

For the price Turnigy and Zippy lipos are it is not worth a penny to spent time and money fixing it....

Mine was similar, didn't take to long to fix.. maybe 5ms or so of actual solder time. Hard to get solder to stick to those tabs, but with a little flux and patience it worked just fine. I did just fix a 3s 2200mah turnigy for a friend who shorted his and 1 cell quit registering. His blew out solder so his fix was literally about 20seconds of actual soldering.

First thing I do is carefully unwrap the lipo and inspect it. If it looks like an easy fix ill attempt it (fire extinguisher standingby), if I can't tell by looking and inspecting then bye bye lipo. I've been an aircraft mechanic for about 10 years and soldering on $30mill aircraft, so soldering and electrical doesn't bother me, but if you don't feel comfortable don't risk it and if I don't see the problem quickly I won't attempt not worth it for a lipo regardless the price. Jmho
