4s lipo questions

What difference would there be if you ran 2-2s lipos in series compared to 1-4s? Not to keen on lipo references. any links to good read material?

for info purposes, I have a small mono where it's very tight to get 2-2s lipos in, but I can fit 1-4s with ease.

If they are both the same discharge rating, there is not really a difference, just that you can put 2 2S packs on either side of the boat, thus levelling it. If balance is not an issue, 1 4S would be fine.

and another similar question ,,,i thought id just throw in here rather than start a new thread ,
if you have 2 of 2s in series 5000mah each
and 2 of 4s in parallel 5000mah will the 4s give you twice the run time or is it only better to split the load over the 2 batts for higher draw setups ??

if you had 2 2S in series, you would get 5 000mAh total
If you had 2 4S in parallel, you would get 10 000mAh total, double runtime, if that's what your asking,
But 2 4S batts would be heavier, you'd be drawing more amps and your runtimes would be less than double.

Ok.. but if I run 2 of 4s at. 3000mah there lighter and similar weight to 2 of. 2s. 5000mah and. I'm sharing the load over 2 batterys so obviosly that's a better setup ..just cause my 2s batts are comin in a bit too warm after a run when my motor and esc are cool at 100 f.
