    Connectors on Turnigy Lipos

I am a newbie. I have 4 Turnigy 2s lipos. They have the connectors they were manufactured with, what are they? Hobby Kings says they are 5.5 mm. I have some connectors from Castle Creations that say they are 5.5 mm and they do not look anything like the ones on the Turnigy lipos. I want to convert all my connectors to 5.5 mm but I am really confused?

    Any help?

    Thanks, Ed

Do the castle connects fit in the turnigy connectors? If so, then they are both 5.5 Doesn't matter what they look like.

Post a pic of the turnigy connectors.

      Connector Help!!

OK, I am truly a newbie. I figured out that the red and black ends come off. I just need to know what to do with them. How do my 5.5 mm fit into the tubing? It appears to me that some of the connector is going to be exposed on the black wire.

Get rid of the heatshrink that you had to remove from the Turnigy connectors...it's just there for protection in shipping. When you solder on the 5.5's to your esc, you'll heatshrink over them just like the way they are done on the lipo.

          What charger?

I am beginning to get the hang of this hobby. So much different than my gas boat days. Now that I believe I have the connector types down, (5.5 mm), what do I do for a charger? I would like to be able to charge more than 1 lipo at a time. I have a Racer's Edge charger/balancer, but it takes almost 1 and 1/2 hours to charge/balance 1 2s pack.

I just got the Hyperion 720i duo and am pretty happy with that. I'm charging 2 4cell 5000 packs in about 20 min. I only charge my 2s packs at 10amps so they take about 30min.

Might want to look into EC5 connectors if you have not purchased the bullets yet. I like them as personally I think its much less likely the wires will touch with these then the bullet connectors which just seems like it will eventually happen?

The Turnigy battery connectors are 5.5 mm but you will find that the males are longer than the CC connectors, so they will stick out when using CC females, the male CC are ok with the Turnigy ones. Also the Turnigy connectors are flared at the ends ever so slighty so the contact area is not as good as the CC connectors. I changed them all out to CC connectors, but they have some issues sometimes too..
There is no replacement for displacement, I guess I just have to Buzz it higher!
