    Low Cell - Saved???

I had a Turnigy 4S pack with an ultra low cell. No matter what I did, the cell wouldn't get past 3.75V during a balance charge. The others were at 4.2V. I made a little harness that charged the individual cell thru the balance plug (1S). So far, it seems to have taken a charge and is now at 4.2V. Will this work, or am I playing with fire here? Any advice or experience? Thanks!

I've run into this issue, the auto-detect kicks in below 3.2volts. I was told to charge the pack (4s) X1c for 10 minutes w/out the balancer. This brought the low cell to 3.2volts. After ten minutes I charged the pack as I would normally at 5c with the balancer and everything was good to go. That pack now has more than 30 cycles and no issues.

I ended up making a harness to only charge the subject cell. Charged it lipo mode, 1S and brought it up to 4.2V. I balance charged the entire pack afterwards and it's been rock solid (about 5 cycles on it now).

I just lost a 2s 5300 Dynamite pack to this. I also charged it up without the balance lead and thought it was going to be ok but when I put just a 3 amp discharge cycle on it the bad cell went back to flat instantly again. Was my fault I supposed, I should have cycled it over the winter but all of my others were fine having stored at 50%.

It was the first time I had tried this but I hooked it up for a slow 3 amp discharge and attached my monitor to the balance lead and could watch the cells come down live and compare one to another and it just plummeted.
