newbie battery question

hello

I am new to boating and to this forum so don't know if this is the place to ask
this question but here goes, I have a brushless apparition stock cat and they
say to use 3s batteries and I don't know if that is 2-3s or 1-3s or can I use 2-2s?

Probably suggest 2-2s batteries if it's the 1620 kv purple motor and don't expect the motor to last to long it's of pretty poor quality

A good cheap solution to save up for would be a 9xl and an aquastar 120 from hobbyking about a 90$ combo
