Ive never had to dispose of a lipo myself yet but ive seen a number of recomendations where you place the lipo in salt water (sea water is said to be best) & leave for a few days. This totally discharges the lipo & you can then dispose in the dust bin. Martin.

Yep great place the dump! No point in using the battery recycle boxes at all cell phone stores or hardware stores or super markets. Or the local household hazardous waste transfer, you know where paint, electronics and other dangerous things go.
Yep this is a great green argument for FE boats! When you're done you can just toss the whole non biodegradable mess in the dump!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Taken from Hobbico/Great planes website on disposal of lipo batteries.
They are enviromentally friendly, Should be put in salt water for 2 weeks then put in the regular trash. Martin.

Are you aware that 2S setups draw a huge amount of amps? You may need a higher mAh or C rated battery!

You need to figure out why you puffed the battery.
As sailor noted, is the pack of a high enough capacity & C rating to deliver the Amps the motor/prop is demanding?
Did you over discharge the pack by running it too long? What was the voltage /cell after the run? Was the battery hot after the run? Were the motor & ESC hot after the run?
Answers to these questions may give a clue as to why the pack puffed.
You don't want to do it to another pack.
Has the pack stayed puffy or did it go hard again?
              Cheers.
              Paul.
