    5000 20c or 4000 40c???

    I have a question
My venom king of shave recommends 3s 5300 lipos
Locally I can only find 2 types of of 3s
One is 4000 40c and the other one is 5000 20c
My question is it better to go with the lower 4000mah with the higher 40c rating or the 5000mah with the the lower 20c rating

    Thanks

If it was me I would go for the 4000 40c lipos to save a little weight and get more overall power.

yeah go with the 40c lipos. ive found that 20c just isnt enough. the 20c dont last long, maybe a season if your lucky. brushless boats just kill the 20c packs, and are even worse on the nimh packs. get the highest c rating you can find, they will last longer

40C! As Alex stated, you should be a little faster, plus your packs will run cooler and you'll have less chance of ripple current so your speed controller will be happier.

            4000 40's= 160 amps available

            5000 20's= 100 amps available

4000's should be the better performer with a slight sacrifice in run time. they will also be lighter so that's good too. KOS sits LOW in the water with big batts.
