    quick safety question

I was wondering when you switch to bullets on battery packs which I am going to do soon here, does the red go to female and black to male. Then of course the ESC is reveresed of that?

Also, and probably more importantly to me how do you prevent the two leads from accidentally touching when in storage? Even with shrink wrap on it some metal is visible from the front of the plug. I just don't want to switch these over and start having accidental shorts.

    Thanks!

I make the neg from the battery male.......pos female. Then opposite on the ESC. I have seen folks cut the neg batt lead a bit shorter to greatly decrease the chance of them accidentally touching...........i use shrink to make bullet covers when not in use.

I think cutting it shorter is a good idea, probably the male side should be shorter? I was thining what if you took a larger diameter watercooling hose and covered the male completly with it?

Go the the parts store and get some vacuum caps. They are vinyle/rubber kind of material. They arent the black real rubber ones normally used on cars. The pack has red, white, black, blue and yellow caps in it.I bought mine for about $3.They work perfect and I dont cut my wire shorter.

EASY way to remember which connectors to put where on the battery:

                "RED HOT FEMALE"
