Dead Lipo's ?

Hi, one of my castle esc's caught fire and now the lipo's wont charge, on the charger it says "connection failure". Are they completely dead or could they be saved ?

What is the rated voltage of the pack?, Can you measeure the actual voltage of the pack,,,can you measure each cell voltage? If all the voltages are fine, the perhaps one of the power leads or balancer leads came unsoldered....do the connections to the power leads and connertors feel solid? Cutting off the heatshrink around the connectors might tell you more.

Yup, sounds like something came un-soldered. Cut the shrink-wrap and peel back the layers to expose the solder joints. You can always re-shrink wrap the pack and it'll look like new!
