    battery help

    hi to all. my name is junior new to rc boats and this forum. i have a sv27 i got from a friend rite now im running duratrax 3800 and 4200 nimh. then i charge them they read over 8 volts a pack when i run the boat it runs for a few mins and they get low
    i check then again and it shows they have over 7 volts. could that be cuz batteries are still new. any help thanks

    Junior,

    you have to do a bit more research I think.

    It sounds like you are very green to batteries in general, so a few things people need to know: Mainly cell count and how you charge the batteries. If you have a computer charger, how much mah went into it on the charge. And how long you charge it helps, too.

    But it could be your voltage cutoff on the ECS is on high cut off mode. Or your boat is just using a lot of juice and since you have one battery (i assume you are not running different size batteries in parallel) you run times will be rather short.
