    HPR 233 FE battery selections??

im looking into buying a used hpr233 it has twin lehner 3080's in it (the one from cat boi), and i will be running them with 2 cc240HV esc's, and it will not be a race boat.. just anther toy lol

but anyways my question is what kind of batteries do they run in these big setups and where can you find them?

i was looking at the ThunderPower G4 Pro Power 30c and the 40c lipos
    * TP-5000-10SP-30L its a 10s 5000mah 30c i was going to run 2 for each motor so id have 10S 10,000mah

    what do you guys think?
    thanks

I just made a big order myself..... What a deal.... Email them for a discount as you will get a better deal if you order more then a couple...I ordered a bunch of 4s 5s and 6s 5000mah 30/60c poly rc's about 3 hrs ago... Smokin deal! I am super happy and free shipping.... I'm normally a hobbycity guy but I did already have a bunch of 30c poly rc's and wanted more options for my big boats (series/parrallel) I am going to be going to them alot more from now on.... And it keeps a little money here in the US of A!

YGE 200 NAVY HV is now discontinued

40.300 would be my choice now they have the issues sorted

40.160wk would be a lower cost option

(40.303wk + 160 are Schulze)... there website does have a English translation feature...

He also has different margins on different brands. He can discount PolyRC packs more than Hyperion. Also like JMSCARD said, the discount goes up if you buy alot of packs. I've bought every pack I own from him, great guy to do business with.

Yeh it was nice to send an email and get a response in 5 minutes too!!! I think I may be officially off hobbycity bandwagon... And I felt the hyperions were more then I needed.... I actually run only for fun so the poly rc's are already probably overkill.... But that's ok I did especially like the great service!!! Free shipping too!

Once you get a taste of the logistics to transport and run your potential new rig you will find that 1 p perside isnt quite enough, 12 s is fine for the 9 winds but i suggest 3p perside 12s6p total. (6 packs per side in series paralell), no crossover. At medium timing on the schulzes the time is very short. At hard timing with 3p perside the runs are roughly 3-5 minutes....................but spectacular, heh.

Ok so I'm wondering if I need to go with 12s or 10s on the twin lehner 3080s and 9wind, an if the bateries on those sites were that much better than the turnigy's..? And also what is my advantages of getting the 300 over the 160 schultz esc's? And what about the radio system? I was buying a futabah 4pk with the fasst system, would that work well with the boats? I'm just trying to figure out what you guys with the big boats are using to get such good range ?
Thanks agn and those sites helped ke out abunch thanks agn!!!

                            sir it is very simple

sounds like if you can afford anything you want if you can buy a $5000 rc boat which needs another $1000 to $1500 in esc's...you have very very deep pockets and I applaud you

you state you don't want this for racing just "toying" around

save yourself about $1500 and buys these and I will bet you if someone loaded the batteries in the boat for you and you didn't know if you had the thunder power or the turnigys in it you wouldn't notice the difference

good luck with the boat it is truly a dream (for me anyway)

Well I can't afford anything I want... Lol I just sold my gretsch 4 price catalina club drum set and all my recording studio gear all together... Roughly 4k or alittle more.. And I had around 2.5k saved up to build a 60" cat when I ran across this hpr233!!
It is a very big dream of mine as well:) I'm so stoked about getting the boat, but yes I'm going to spend the money and do it right...

As for those batteries, I have 4 of the 6s 35c 5000mah that I run in my on road car and absolutely love them!! I had asked about them earlier and it seeme that almost evryone was telling me not to go with them.... I'm new to the boats and new to anythin that requires so much power thts why I was iffy about using the turnigy's
                              but if I go turnigy I'll have to do 4 packs per side. 12s 4p 10000mah 35c

And the weight issue is not that big of a difference.. If I go SLS with 12s 5000mah and run 2 per side the total weight of batteries is about 90g Les than the turnigy's I don't think that a big deal is it?
Anyways yes I have been looking at those packs
