Zippy and Turnigy Batteries?

Tony, i did notice a significant dif.between the 30-40 c and the 40-50 c Turnigy!! i was puffing polyquest 25 c rated lipos on the timo and went to 30-40 c turnigy's and they swelled but didnt get crazy huge like the poly's. then i went to 40-50 c turnigy's.. and you know the rest batteries come in as they went out, 110 deg.

What size are you guys running for 4s2p setups. When going 2p it doubles the mah then the c rating goeas off of that? Say two 3000 40-50c (120-150 per) would equate to 6000 (240-300)?

Really, i'm not sure there are faster batteries than these anymore. You can get them in 40c discharge. Does it get better? Some racers may not agree with this, but then, have they really made a comparison. Between price and performance, it is kinda dumb to buy big name big dollar lipos.

Below is a test I done on the same day with the same setup on the same boat (DF 33 clone)...

1. 4s Zippy Flightmax 40C, Neu 1515 1.5y, Hydra 240, Andym M645 = 95.8 kph or 59.53 mph

2. 4s Thunder Power 45C, Neu 1515 1.5y, Hydra 240, Andym M645 = 102 kph or 63.38 mph

Do not get me wrong, I am not here to argue about it but just show you the results I got. I will say that I think the 1.5y motor is wrongly labeled as it goes more like a 1y motor and so the 45C rating of the Thunder Power battery could be what is making the difference.

This has been covered before but I will say it again.
I have an amazing ability to kill stuff, especially esc's and bateries
I have run Polyquest, Flightpower, Rhino, Zippy and Turnigy.

I will only ever buy Turnigy again.
The burst power from fresh off the charger (within 12 hrs) is amazing !!
I have wet them, dropped them, puffed a few and they all love me

Zippy is good bang for buck, for a dollar or two more take the Turnigy, you will love them too.

If I have to type all this one more time I will shout at someone.

Hey Wolf next time I order, I will order a Turnigy and do just that. I am always on the lookout for a better battery. I am not one eyed when it comes to batteries. I am a GM fan but drive a Ford
I will let you know how the test goes when I get a Turnigy.

This may well be just the wires, I have both zippy flightmax 30C and turnigy 30C, both batteries come out at the same temperature after a run but the turnegys do seem slightly faster, the flightmax come with 12gauge wires and while not hot the battery wires are the warmest part of my boat after a run, the turnegys come with 8gauge wire and the wires are cool after a run where there's warmth there's voltage loss.

I love my Turnigy 5000 40C packs I got 6 of them and have had no problems at all.

RE Turnigy lipos, IMO they are the best value for money lipos you can buy, And Yes I race with them and have won races with them.

I feel there is a big difference from play boaters to Racers.Id be interested to hear how many people Race with Turnigy/zippy/rhino Lipos

They list the balance tap as a JST-XH. is there an adaptor for that will work with an Hyperion charger?

Got 3 6S 5000mAh and 3 6S 2650mAh Turnigy Packs. Just spent a little time working on the plugs and they rock! They all deliver approx.8% more of normial capacity, which I never seen on any other brands. I love them so much that I hate myself why didn't try them earlier, at least before I bought my two Hyperion VX 6S 4200mAh packs, that could swap for 6(!) 6S 5000mAh big Turnigy packs!

A good 4 minutes easy flat out, we run the same batteries, only with a 20 C rating in our SV,s in LSO class and can get the required 4 minutes easily. usually have about 800 Mah to spare after the race.
