Battery discharge rate

If I'm running 2 batteries in serial and only run them down say 50%, do they discharge at the same rate? I would think so, but I'd thought I'd check...

Reason I ask is I have 1 nimh pack that only wants to accept 1/4 charge vs. the second pack after a short run. I'm assuming I have a problem with that pack.

they may discharge in different ways, there may be a cell that is weaker or something in the realm... that is the reason why they cell matched packs.
