Here's a bad video I filmed today. Boat did pretty good first time out, but it still needs more adjusing. Fan on the MMM ESC was running briefly after run. Motor does not need cooling, I mounted cooling jacket so motor would fit ride pad.

Yea she is a little faster than stock UL-1 using M440 prop. I may try m445 prop soon.

you finally did it, you finally built the SS21. great boat! I'm about to get back into the swing of things and build a few cats over the winter, I sure have missed boats.

Not finished yet. I decided to cut the cowl for easier taping. I cut cowl from underneth for best strait cut. Nose piece will be epoxied to hull. I will have to fill then repaint modified area.

Fiberglass tabs epoxied in place help align and secure cowl to hull. Windshield will be cutout and applied using 3M's 2 mil black vinyl.

This is the next combo I will experiment with...Feigao 580L 1426kv motor, Castle MMM air cooled controller, Hyperion 4500mah 6s1p lipo power (two 3s packs wired in series), No water cooling.

Ready to run weight is 7lbs exactly. Balance point is 14 1/4" from rear of transom. I will start out using the Octura m440 then try to work up to larger m445.

I'm back from the test. Before run I removed the ride pads I had used earlier and ran the hull stock as it came from Phil. Using Phils recommended setup boat handled rock stedy like it was on rails. Much better than stock UL-1. Run time was shorter using the larger 580L motor and motor temps were lots warmer (170 degrees) than when using the NUE 1515 1.5y. I prefer using the cooler running NUE over the hotter 580L. Using just the m440 prop boat was fast (50+ mph). The MMM controller has worked perfectly so far.

Next I may try the UL-1 motor/esc setup.

There are new water based paints you can shoot from the gun and then apply clear coat. Seems to be the new rage in auto paints. Easy clean up.

                      Less toxic also.

I wish I had the imagination and talent that went into some of those paint jobs.

Yes, me too. I have not shot any yet. I have two guns that will work. I hear you can use just regular Clear on them as well.

No doubt the gun shoots a much better coat and coverage than a can.

Email Phil or call him, he does take Paypal. I ordered the sport 40 a while back, only took a few weeks.
