as with any new set up, you want to start smaller prop and work your way up, say with 440/640 and if all is cool, step up to 442.
Remember that your Hydra will not be covered under warranty on 6S, plus some people don't recommend it. I was only stating what I like to run. You may find that 5S and a 442 will be a good combo. And check your temps regularly with any new set up.
I am probably a little crazy and not afraid of burning up stuff to find the best set up. That said, I have not burnt up a hydra 120 on this set up and don't intend to. I prefer to get my power with voltage instead of amps, like the large prop low voltage set up you outlined."Look good doin' it"

I would just offer that you run the cheapest prop you have...any CF props :)
Yes, that is small for that set up but let's see how it does.
You all should tell me and I can make these diffeent with the set screw of the dog clampaing the wire...as well as loctite. They just can't too long of shaft in them.Comment

The highest speed I could get from the x442 was 55.2mph on 5s.
The m445 ran at only 4 degrees higher at the same run time and ran 59.5mph
and didnt fall on its face in corners... but run time is diffrent....
the 442 may have had a 2-3minute advantage...LMT

42 and 45 to start with. I do have a 40 but start with 42 if you can.
If she is running smooth in the water than I trust the 62 wire. If it jumping all over and in and out then I would be easy to start with.
I have many out there running .062 with 4S but it is a gamble if it is just crazy on the water.
I will have a SAW version that I will begin selling which will have the wire pinned by the drive dog set screw. I have been building them for some time but never offered them. Some saw guys use them. BUT the drive dog has to stay so depending which strut you run it will usually have 1-1/8" in the strut or slightly less for the bearing and bushing struts. Not one of these have ever failed.Comment
