I like being redundant sometimes. It makes it easier for people to find information.
Ok, It's a good excuse for me getting older and forgetful.

Boy did I have a good time yesterday.

Drove it for 2 mins(still sv parts in use), took tapes off and wiped the hull usind the towel I use to dry seats on my 1:1 boat. Checked temps and taped it close.

It went nice until it hit a wave and dived in .When it surfaced (upside down) I noticed BUBBLES! -taking water and fast, took me 5 sec to get to it and by then it was full with water... -and smoking... pulled it out from water and noticed that the tape was off at the left rear corner! -ripped the hatch off and yanked the batteries out.

Luckily only the BB 630MG WATERPROOF servo fried.

The reason that this happened... THAT DAM TOWEL HAD SOME GREASE ON IT !

After I got it back to shore, in to the shower it went -motor esc and all.(I drive this on sea ,remember). I dunked the electrics quickly in denat.alchohol and let dry.

Replaced the shrinkwraps on batts too.

This morning everything(except the servo) worked fine again.

So keep a clean rag with you when boating,
and make sure that the surface is clean b4 applying tape

Just received my new Turningy 5000mAh 2S1P 30/40C lipos.

WOW! 8AWG wires and 5.5mm bullets for this cheap!

I just hope that these are great performers too! (like the 20/30c ones I have used).

Took er out for a spin and the motor is ....(well it cant be good , meseaured the temps when I got it back to shore and it was 86c -after 5minutes it was turned off!)

-dam that green stuff is nasty ...blocks the cooling so well...

Keep at it. I think you'll eventually get it all out of the lake.

Let see what happens when I start it.

Xander, the easiest thing to do would be to get the sv electronics and the speedmaster hardware.

If you have some diy spirit, get the himodel 200a esc and waterproof/cool it.

then add 8xl and it will fly.
