I still hope that this is not doomed to fail bacause I must use the SV parts...
I think someone is getting addicted......You look like you're having alot of fun with your boat. Hope to see it with the upgrades soon.

Very interesting, Patrik is indeed addicted.

Just remember to use caution on you first run. 60 seconds and check temperatures.

        Addicted...me... -not yet but soon

-I allways start carefully, 10sec first run ,then 30, then minute... Better safe then sorry.

I like to build, drive and take some video my rc´s.(and I really like editing them for some reason) -the last vid I posted today (here) would be so much better if I had hd cam (zoom and slow mo sucks atm) -I really need better one, but some how my money allways goes towards toy boats

        well, back to boats now

So how should I keep things cool?

The sv rudder pick up is not that great.

Thinking of keeping the sv pick up for esc and making a new one for motor.

What would be best to do, this http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=dh-aqub9520 or this http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/inf...ter-pickup.php ?

Or do you have better option?

also if some one knows the gauge of himodel esc wires, please help.(the battery wires)

It runs great as it is.Why not put the money into the 33" version,i have both and prefer the 33.
More potential for higher volts and MORE POWER!!

I´m sure that I´ll get the 33 or larger later this year and want to use my new electrics on it, but for now I want to c how fast can this hull go

OT: My friend just ordered the 7xl and 200a himodel , now he is a bit mad that he got the 7 instead of 8/9xl cause he wants the 33 hull... -what do you guys think, is 7xl too much for 33 delta? -well small enough prop and sure it will work, but what speeds would you think it is capable on 7xl 200a 4s lipos (and what prop) ?

another hull he´s thinking is the 25 delta... -that would fly if he can fit the xl can in...

7XL on a 33" will need a big ESC and very strong batt to spin a large enough prop under 4S! on a 29" the minimum prop I use is 40mm (Graupner carbon) and it slips a lot at startup, I guess on a 33" you need at least a 43.5mm or 45mm but such a prop on a 7XL will be a amp hog!

the XL can does fit in a 25", I have read on another board one guy did it!

it would have been better to go for higher voltage, 6S and a 10XL http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ead.php?t=4159

So you have 29 with 7xl(your sig has 8xl) ? and you use that size props.(x440 and k40 about the same I guess)

I guess my friend needs to get that 25 hull then.

Then my 29 with 8xl and 200a esc should be fine with s220 (if you have 7xl with k40 -or larger.) -what esc do you use Emmanuel?

                      nope 8XL on my 29"
I normally use a K42 but with a pair of strong 2S Rhino's I just purchased, I'm going to use a K43.5 may be 45, even with the cheap 100A ESC I have, plan to upgrade with a cheap 200A though

ok,so you use 100A esc and 42mm prop. (2.31 pitch)

The prather s215 is 40.6mm and 2.5pitch, so I guess it is safe to start with.(200A esc) -I really like these stainless props!

I believe the first is a 1.4 pitch and the prather is a 1.5-1.6 pitch.
                          2.5/1.6=1.5625

                          Prop # Diameter Pitch
                          215 1.60" 2.5"
                          220 1.72" 2.6"
                          225 1.84" 2.8"
                          230 1.90" 3.0"
                          235 2.00" 3.2"

Yeah, I have understood these things wrong...

                            Graupner Diameter 42mm(1.65"), Pitch 1.4x42=58mm or 2.31"

                            prather 40.6mm (1.60") 2.5"
I have thought that the last numbers (2.31 on this graupner) mark the pitch...

I cant get how I have looked these numbers for years and just now get that the 58mm is 2.31"

well, anyways the 215 looks like very close to the k42

So is the pitch is calculated by pitch divided by diameter?

If so, why is the prathers 2.5" pitch marked as 2.5 ,if that is not the pitch it has ?

                            so confusing...

That's in inches. 2.5" inches. It's in between a X640 and a X642 as far as the specs go.
