    The Ultimate Full Scale Model

I went to Lake Washington today to witness the rebirth of a Unlimited Hydroplane Legend. Miss Wahoo. This boat is a replica built by the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum. It is an exact copy of the Boat that ran in the late 50's and was owned by Bill Boeing (yes Boeing plane co) and driven by Mira slovak. Both Bill and Mire were there for the relaunch. Here is a great build thread of building a real Hydro from scratch.

    Here are pictures from today

I live in Seattle and enjoy numerous types of photography which include Wildlife, Birds, Cars, Landscape, Macro and Sports

Thanks Jim, inspiration for my 10th scale hydro scratch build winter project. Was going to do Notre Dame, but this is a real work. I will probably go with Wahoo scheme, but use ply instead of stringers like the real modelers do. Thanks for the beautiful photography!
