    H&M ECO build

i got a H&M eco hull from paul on the swap shop. i am looking for information on building it, it is my first eco. planning on etti hardware, feigao 540 8s, 2 cells with a jetti 70 or cc120 with 35-37mm prop.

    1) rudder placement, the hull is 20" and i need to know where to put the rudder and strut.

    2) strut angle. this is a fixed strut so i want to get it right

    3) cog

with these three things i think i can make it work.
    thanks for any info

These measurements are taken from the H&M Eco Zip instructions.
    All measurement from the transom

    Rudder 50mm

Front edge of prop hub 115mm, 15mm to hull from centreline of propshaft,

Centreline of propshaft where it enters the hull 190mm, ( this works out as a propshaft angle of approx 11.5 degrees).

    Centre of gravity 190mm,

Prop max 32mm dia, eg Graupner G2330.32 or G2330.29, Astec models have these in stock.

    Hope this helps

marker.. do you have any pics of the interior?
what size motor are you using, 380 or 540s?
        what cell count?
if you have any pics of the interior i would appreciate it. i already have the same hardware just want to figure out if it is going to be 2s or 3s and if i should use 380L or 540s, i have several motors to choose from. also i want to see your servo linkage and if you used a full size servo or something like a hs225mg?
        thanks again

ok here is what i came up with. i cant get much help because there are not alot of people building eco's here. from what i have seen they are verry hard to set up because it is a fixed strut and cog is the only adjustment. i have seen the tenshok eco run and i hope mine comes out better than that, not faster, better handling.

i have decided to go with a neu 1107 6d. it is 2100kv and i will use 2650 zippy 4 cells. i have this motor laying around and just looking for something to put it in. the 4 cells will give me extra movable weight to play with cog. power will not be extreme and it gives me the option of going to 2s2p if necessary. using a full size servo, etti rudder and strut mounted to specs recomended above and a 33 mm prop. i have a hacker navy 77 esc and havent figured out the cooling yet. it should yeald about 32-35mph.

my cog is at 190 mm and can be changed to be extreme either direction. i am opting not to add a flood chamber which will probablly bite me later.

How did the Eco turn out? I've got one with etti hardware ready to be built. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Nick

Chuck... the rudder looks to me like it's installed backwards... I think it should be turned 180-degrees....
