We definately have to find a better place to run, we have had nothing but bad luck there.

Okay I cut the hatch and glued the front of the nose in place then I took a piece of 1/64 light ply and cut reliefs so that it would bend, and made a ledge for the hatch to rest on.:D

I don't think I would have done that. (cut the nose off the hatch). So the hatch is now easier to tape, & easier to come off if it ever flips.
            Nice cutting job though!!

ever since i have been using good hatch tape my hatches have not come off even through some good flips ( see my mono vid under "I hope this works") so i am not to worried to much, but its gonna take some speed to to flip it :D as its almost 4.5lbs and all it has in it is motor, steering servo. The cut made me nervous but thanks for the complement, Deigo!

Nice job, thats what I would have done. That is the way they do it on the Sport 21 Whiplash hulls.

So when is the vegas going to get wet??

True. But that mono hatch doesn't have that Ginormous scoop on the top. When that hits the water, it'll create a drag, ripping that hatch right off the tape that holds it down.
                    Just my thoughts.
