Whip 20 Medusa 3670-1600 on 6s (Pics and Bad Video)

Finally got some pics. This is a Medusa 3670-1600(Love It) on 5000mAH Turnigy 6s Lipo, Turnigy 120 amp ESC, Octura V940 DT/S/B(Horrible). Before this run I ran the X642 DT/S/B and ran 54.7mph, electronics were barely warm, and I hit some rocks Threw the V940 in and it cavitated bad and planted the nose (too much lift) and only ran 48mph. The X642 was great, going to try an X645 next. Sorry about the vid, it is pretty bad along with some bad language.

Dude! Is that a prop or a flower??!?!?!?!

There are a few ways to heal the too much lift problem, have the strut be completely neutral as far as angles go, move the CG a bit further back to put some weight on the prop... it should boogie.

        Nice potential.

I find with a lifting prop that a near to flat strut angle seems to work best, when running a non lifter i use about 2 deg of down angle on the strut

I took the 2* out of the strut and set it to neutral, and put the GPS at the back of the boat, CoB is now 2" behind the sponson. I may try to put some cup in the prop to reduce lift, I would like to get this prop to work.

It is 30" long, probably 6-7lbs. The kit is made by Blazer Marine. I think I have around 40hrs into building it.

I think the 940 should be ok with no cupping, that angle reduction should do the trick, if its still burying the nose then you can raise the strut depth a little.

One change at a time though.

It is the Kintec Racing turn fin for the UL-1. I cut about an inch off the rear portion.

This is a tough boat. The impact bent the rudder almost 90*. Need a little epoxy on the sponson tips and glue it shut.

Any better pics of your complete setup inside?
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

I'll get better pics tonight. The bulkheads were all cut forward of the sponsons to accommodate the battery as far forward as the canopy will allow. The motor mount is a UL-1 (sucks-too weak). The tub is fully sheeted with 1/16" birch ply. From the sponsons back to the transom is air tight(more flotation).
