      Steven,

Yes, it could be an issue for existing boats. New builds would be fine. My motor sits pretty flat because I mounted it forward, so it's under the flat part of the regular hatch anyway.

I will be vac pulling some of these soon for my hulls. Easy to do but I want to use pretty thick polystyrene for it. Glass is nice but you can change the mold of the vac forming very easily...glue it on and it is added...like intakes, etc.

I would prefer glass but I can pop these off in minutes once I get set up...flat board and the rest is just changing the canopy block. I like twins cockpits as well.

          Jeff,

I think there is a huge untapped market out there for aftermarket hatches. Vac-u-Boat are onto it by offering 3 different cowls for their Pickle - very smart I think. Will be interested to see what you come up with.

Trying to finish a vac former I have plans for. Simple yet easy.

Well the best thing about Poly is cost. I would like to see three or four on some for the same model boats so they differ.

I would also like to see everyone running a sub hatch and have some kind of mechanical holder on tops so fewer are lost in crashes.

I will see what I can do. I also have a bunch of clay that hardens very hard. The one I want is the old EV hull canopy. I have a couple and I was going to fine something cooler. MM is also one I hate as well.

You did an excellent makeover, I always thought MM cat had an unattractive cowl, but with a lil' creativity you've given it a second life.

Its a good idea to make it think Jeff, the hatch is huge and could collapse in a crash if it was made out of thinner stuff.

Thanks, I can't wait to get a glass one off Rob and finish the boat off properly
