this is the etti 380 mount and micro strut from OSE. i think that strut will work good but limits it to a .098 flex with 1/8 stub shaft. the size is right. the matching micro rudder is way to small so watch out if you decide to go with this strut. the minicat racing strut/rudder prob a good choice as well. still havent decided if i will use this strut of the rcmk mini strut. the build sheet states motor mount 2" from trans. still waiting for info on COG.see my fleet: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hp?albumid=294

I was running a 27T motor in the boat with 6cells Nimh. I set the CG at 6 1/4 to 7 inches. With Lipo you can put the motor father foward and the batteries in the rear. Place it all in the boat and set it. then it will be good to go.Comment

tunda - this motor is 28 x 45mm. i think your feigao 380 3000kv on 3 cells would be a good choice as well.see my fleet: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hp?albumid=294

i am taking my time with this one, in no hurry and only working on it an hour or so here and there. i have way to many builds going at one time... here is the basic layout. the cog is at 25-35% depending on battery placement. the strut is rcmk mini, 75mm rudder from head of the river, turnigy 380 - 3600kv motor (this ripped in the folki sx on 32-35mm prop 3s), hitec 225 servo, etti 380 motor mount, 2 x 2200 3s in parallel. just figured out the placement, havent started mounting anything yet because i need 3mm stainless hex head bolts for the motor mount, it makes it so much easier to use an open end wrench because a allen wrench doesnt fit easily to adjust the angle of the motor mount... nuts and bolts hawaii not open on sundaysee my fleet: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hp?albumid=294

worked on it a little more today. motor mounted, made a small shelf for servo (will zip tie and tape down). now is time to prep esc, using a sky-king (like hextronik with bec and no need pixstik)... esc is a little big but should be bullet proof (or more correct fire proof) just need to keep it dry..see my fleet: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hp?albumid=294

Hey Chuck! I really like the stainless hex bolts you installed on the ETTI mount...alot easier to adjust than the stock allen bolts!
Good clean build!
