    Looks great. One thing to check, is make sure you sealed the back side of where the cowling lock down nylon nuts penetrate the waterproof aread. I put an epoxy cap on the inside to seal mine. Mike

      Yep im gonna do that, i was wondering if the screws needed to go all the way thru but i guess i can trim to size. What do ya think- should i paint those sponsons? I know it will look badazz w/ them painted

        I had painted the sponsons on my last VS1, and wish I never did. I just love the wood grain! Mike
