More than likely one is an enamel and other is a lacquer - the 2 do not get along with each other.

Don't mean to thread jack, but I'd like to show a couple pics of my renegade. One of my strut depth/angle, and my "accident". I was testing my new battery in a small river tributary. It has just got done raining a substantial amount and there was a UFO (unidentified floating object) I didn't see. Off came the turn fin!! The boat planes instantly, however, the top speed is still not impressive. I may have the strut too deep, not sure. Running y531, 3s 23c 1450mah lipo, phoenix25 esc. It seems to actually speed up a tad mid turn.

Look for a freebie renegade in the near future, if I don't step on it first.

Regular Krylon is strictly enamel based. "Fusion" has some solvents in it to get it to bond to plastic which are NOT compatible with regular Krylon. On the other hand, I just painted a boat where I started with Fusion and then used regular Krylon for the second color. No problem.

                BUMMER!

Gotta strip the blue and try again. I hope I don't have to strip the yellow too.

NOOO!...Don't do that!! You are the man right now and everybody is hoping to get some good feedback on this build!!!!

Let the paint cure for a couple of days and come back to it later and then start sanding it back down a bit. You will get there...you can't give up now!!

I say that everytime I go to paint a new build (and when I go to work every day!) LOL!! J/K! There are some days that I wish I was not a Painting Contractor though...

I can lay on what looks like a beautiful paint job til it dries. Haha. A good coat of clear normally perks it up though.

This looked like croc skin, I used a paint stripper, which took off the blue, (and some yellow) then cleaned, sanded, and sprayed more primer. Primer immediately began to "crock skin" on me again. #$%^&*(
I don't think clear will fix this mess.

Sand it level, apply a coat of polyester sandable primer. This will seal everything underneath...
LET IT DRY for a good day, sand/paint/clear...
